New Generation team
The New Generation (NG) programme is run by Dieudonne Nahimana and an exceptional group of young people. In 2003, they were awarded the prize of ‘Best Youth Organisation in Africa’ by a Belgian group.
Dieudonne Nahimana is the Founder of NG. He started the charity in 2004 after God laid it on his heart to provide care for the street children of Burundi.
Maryam Kanyenyeri is a co-founder and the wife of Dieudonne. She is the leader of the trauma-healing programme and supervises the care of the children living in NG houses. Maryam is also a member of the Eglise Vivante de Jesus Christ church.
Teddy Claude Harushimana is the National Co-ordinator. He co-ordinates all the NG clubs, manages a programme for street children, and is responsible for training the leaders of the clubs and centres in Burundi. He attends El Shadai church.
Sandy Emery and Rosine Munezero are the International Co-ordinators. Sandy and Rosine have been involved with NG for three years. Their work involves managing all the activities for NG and promoting NG’s vision through different media. Sandy is a member of Poisse Kinindo Catholic church and Rosine worships at International Zion Temple.
Jean de Dieu is the Finance Co-ordinator. He has been with NG for two years. He worships at the Bon Berger church. His responsibilities are financial management, accounting and budgets.
Divine Kaneza is the Administrator for NG. Her responsibilities include secretarial duties and agenda management. She attends Zion Temple church.
