Youth for Christ Team

Freddy Tuyizere is the National Director of Burundi Youth for Christ (YfC). His main responsibilities are supervising the team of full-time staff, training a new generation of leaders, and building and running the new YfC orphanage. He is married to Marie-Josee and they have two sons (Elvis and James).

Felicite Nintunze is the main mother of the orphans that YfC have at Gitega. She is single and came to know God through YfC ministries. Felicite was baptised in 2005 in the Living Church in Gitega, Burundi's second city.
 
Marie-Josee Karerwa
 
Marie-Josee Karerwa is in charge of Operation Hannah, the mothers department, and leads one of the children’s groups. Marie-Josee attends the New Life church in Bujumbura.
 
Euphrate
 
 
Euphrate Ndayizigiye is the deputy head of YfC. He is married to Charlotte and attends a Pentecostal church founded by Swedish missionaries.
 
 
 
Surpeace Ndayizeye is in charge of English teaching in YfC. He is single and attends the Living Church in Bujumbura.
 
Jean Paul Ntakarutimana is in charge of YfC's school groups. He is committed to evangelism and attends the Pentecost Swedish Assemblies of God.
 
Augustin Mbonyumwitsa leads all YfC's ministries at Gitega. He is single and attends the Good Shepherd Church.
 
Philbert Iradukunda leads YFC's ministries at Mutaho (the bloody place). He is a high school teacher and is committed to the evangelisation of young people. He is married with two children.
 
There are also volunteers who help YfC to run the ministry, including:

  • People who work in the kitchen
  • People who run clubs in schools
  • English teachers
  • Leaders of small groups
