GLO works with outstanding local leaders in Burundi, one of the world's poorest nations still recovering from years of civil war and genocide, to bring sustainable change.
You are Invited!
The Trustees and International Director, Simon Guillebaud MBE are delighted to invite you and your colleagues, family and friends to be a part of this special occasion.
An Inspirational Evening with a very special guest from Burundi
The evening will feature stunning cuisine, recent footage from Burundi and a talk by award-winning author, Simon Guillebaud MBE.
We are thrilled to announce that we will also be joined by the very talented Grace Nduwimana, our GLO Burundi Communications Coordinator, all the way from Bujumbura! Grace will share her own amazing story and give us a vivid picture of life in Burundi.
"a very uplifting event in a stunning and prestigious location."
"lovely food - challenging and very enjoyable evening, so pleased I came"
Enjoyable and Lifechanging
The Banquet for Burundi is also an important way for GLO to raise much-needed funds. Your ticket price contributes to the success of the evening so you can arrive knowing you have already made a difference.
Then you also have the amazing opportunity to purchase something very special for yourself or a family or friend. There are auction lots to suit all pockets and interests. From rare UK Premier league football tickets, prestigious golfing experiences, family holidays not usually available to the public, classic car experiences and original artwork, there is something for everyone. There will also be specific items to donate to, such as sewing machines for Burundi. It's entirely up to you how much you choose to participate in the auction.
To give you an idea of just how much we can all achieve we when get together in this enjoyable way, in previous Banquets for Burundi, we have raised money for: a school bus, library and computer equipment, healthcare for the most vulnerable communities and even land for a street children's project. We've also helped our teams in Burundi purchase vital but pricey equipment such as roadworthy vehicles to transport them to remote areas, via treacherous pothole-filled roads.
So, the evening is huge fun with a great purpose, literally changing lives for the good in Burundi! We'd love you to join us if you can!
