21st March at The Dairy, Latimer Park, Chesham, HP5 1TU, UK
As the presidential elections approach in May 2020, we want to be more proactive in standing with the Burundian people in prayer at this potentially difficult time. During and following the last elections in 2015, several hundred thousand people fled the country in fear because of the political instability, and many were killed in the civil unrest.
At that dangerous and challenging time, our partners chose to stay in Burundi to come together to create a new project, Christian Initiatives for Peace. This worked (and still works) for peace right across society through the media, through church networks, street outreach, advocacy and education.
It's key to support our teams in prayer, particularly at this critical time. There is still much to do and so much we need God to do! Please do join us.
