10th Anniversary Cycling Tour

10th Anniversary Cycling Tour

I’m anticipating two challenges - firstly the challenge of the hills and extreme saddle soreness, and secondly having my eyes opened and heartstrings pulled by the challenges of one of the poorest nations on the planet!

I’m anticipating two challenges - firstly the challenge of the hills and extreme saddle soreness, and secondly having my eyes opened and heartstrings pulled by the challenges of one of the poorest nations on the planet!

The ‘Tour Du Burundi‘ AKA ‘Bike for Burundi‘ is about to celebrate an amazing 10th year on the road!

Cyclists from around the UK and USA will be joining with our founder, Simon Guillebaud, on this gruelling but immensely fulfilling ride through some of Burundi’s most stunning landscapes. It is one of those events that can truly be described as an adventure of a lifetime for all the participants.

By the end of it they will have acheived:

  • 7 days of cycling 100km per day!
  • Climbed a whopping 38,000ft in elevation!
  • Had a lot of fun – and shed a lot of sweat & tears!
  • Gained some lifelong friendships!

Why? To raise money and awareness of our phenomenal GLO partners

Over the last 9 years, a whopping £250,000 ($300,000) has been raised for the work around Burundi. What is quite surprising, with our largest ever team of cyclists on the tour, we could be on target to double that this year! Could you help us hit the £300,000 ($400,000) mark?!

That would be such a blessing in a season when Burundi is facing some of its biggest ever strategic challenges as a nation, and we want to help be the difference that finds the Jesus way of doing things through these most difficult of times.*
