When a child really encounters Jesus, lives change! And when a generation of future leaders and citizens encounter the Lord, a nation can change. Last year, our partners served at least 145,000 children and young people – yes, you read that right! Burundi is a young nation (the median age is just 16 years old!), so investing in the next generation is a strategic opportunity.

In Burundi, our partner UCCD is seeing stunning transformation in young lives. Through The Mailbox Club, a Bible-based correspondence programme, children and young people across the country are receiving structured, engaging lessons that many of their Sunday schools simply never had before. Teachers are being equipped, volunteers are being resourced, and children are encountering Jesus.

The results speak for themselves. Fifteen-year-old Niokwizigi stopped fighting at school. Alfonsine, aged 14, opened her Bible to Galatians 2:20 and found a verse that reordered her entire life.
