For £3.50 ($4), Burundians can get a health card valid for a year which covers the whole family, which will allow them to get hugely-subsidised treatment at a government clinic without incurring crippling debts. Lots of Burundians cannot afford to save – they often live day-to-day so they cannot afford emergencies.
What do you want for Christmas this year? I know what I want – to save lives – this will be my gift! I invite you to join me, be it for one family, ten or a hundred – every single one counts. These cards are a key tool in our mission to improve the health of Burundians across the nation!
I love this appeal because everyone can take part. Even my/our kids can afford to help a family, or multiple families. Beautiful!
Folks, wouldn’t it be great if we raised even more than our goal of 5,000 cards? If we do, we’ll use any extra towards vital health projects – be it renewing these cards in years to come, running clinics, giving sanitary pads to those in need, etc. Thanks for being a part of it!
